Perovskite solar cells

1. Principle and characteristics:

Perovskite solar cells use organic metal halide semiconductors with an ABX3 structure as light-absorbing materials. This material has a high light absorption coefficient, a long carrier diffusion distance, and an adjustable band gap width.

2. Application scenarios:

Perovskite solar cells are suitable for various photovoltaic applications due to their high efficiency and low manufacturing cost, including large-scale outdoor power stations, building integration and indoor weak light power generation.

3. Importance and advantages:

The importance of perovskite cells lies in the fact that their laboratory efficiency has reached 25.7%, and there is huge room for improvement. Its advantages include less material usage, low component prices, low-temperature preparation and low energy consumption. In addition, perovskite materials have excellent weak light performance and can provide power for electrical appliances under indoor weak light conditions, which provides new imagination space for photovoltaic applications.

Perovskite battery

Perovskite cells are the main development direction of the next generation of photovoltaic cells. As a representative of the third generation of thin-film cells, it uses perovskite structural materials as the light absorption layer and includes two main types: single junction and stacked. This type of cell has the advantages of high energy conversion efficiency, low cost, light weight and flexibility. Currently, perovskite cells are still in the early stages of industrialization.

Conversion efficiency: The theoretical conversion efficiency has reached 26.1%, and the theoretical efficiency of the all-perovskite stacked battery is as high as 44%.
