Instrument Introduction: Used together with the PMA2100, the PMA2170 is a precision probe for relative humidity and ambient temperature measurement. An embedded memory chip can store signal processing information and programs for unit conversion.
When connected to the PMA2100, the program can be automatically transferred to it without setting up the instrument. This method ensures the interchangeability and high traceability of the probe. The unit conversion algorithm used by many probes is also embedded in the probe chip, making its application easier.
The PMA2170 uses a temperature compensated capacitive sensor to ensure high accuracy and long-term stability in a wide range of environments. The sensor exhibits low hysteresis. A membrane filter and housing protect the sensor from contamination. Because the probe's sensitive capacitive element is manufactured to strict specifications and factory calibrated, if the sensor is damaged, it can be easily replaced without additional calibration.
Humidity is an important comfort factor for humans and animals. It is also very important for sensitive electronic devices or working with high voltage or static sensitive components. Textiles, adhesives and paper will change their properties due to changes in the surrounding environment. Even some delicate mechanical devices are affected by humidity. Comfortable indoor relative humidity is about 50% RH at 20-25°C, 38% RH for Class 10 clean rooms and 60% RH for hospital operating rooms.
