The PMA2143 thermopile can measure radiation flux. It is sensitive to 0.2-50um radiation and has a 10-degree field of view. This gives this type of instrument the excellent performance and high accuracy of a photoelectric detector. The sensor is a high quality black thermopile, ensuring a flat spectral response over the entire spectral range. A thermopile is a thermal sensor that responds to all power absorbed. Irradiance measurements are easily affected by conduction and radiation losses to the surroundings. Therefore, the detector can be shielded by a glass window, but the spectral range is limited to 0.3-3um.
