The PMA2122 Germicidal Detector provides fast and accurate measurement of effective germicidal radiation. Ultraviolet radiation at 253.7 nm has been used in germicidal applications for decades. Microorganisms (bacteria) in the air and water can be killed by ultraviolet radiation or a combination of ultraviolet and ozone. The UV lamps used in the purification system must be able to produce ultraviolet radiation at a dose that kills bacteria. The UV lamps must be monitored to ensure that they are used to their maximum value. Through the detector measurement, it can not only ensure whether the expensive UV lamp is fully used and determine whether it has reached the replacement level, but also detect whether the new UV lamp meets the sterilization standards.
