Instrument Introduction:

The large area simulator is specially designed to simulate the solar radiation environment testing requirements.

Reliable system performance accurately reproduces the solar spectrum (total radiation), the basic components of the system: radiation unit, power supply, and control system.

Technical parameters:
  • power supply:

To achieve the best performance, the lamp is powered by an electronic power supply. The electronic power supply or EPS-Module drives the lamp with a square wave current. This reduces the radiant regulation to less than +/-1%, controls the intensity and provides a stable power output even when the power input varies. In addition, it provides an optimal lamp control environment, which can maximize the life of the metal halide lamp.

  • Control system:

The operation of the system is performed by a dedicated computer. Menu-based software is used for system configuration and operation. System outputs and settings can be saved for later use. The saved files can be executed sequentially as part of a complex daylight simulation test program. In a seamless operation interface, the PC can be connected to the test equipment host computer using our software. The software provides simple operation and fast test setup to maximize the load of the test equipment.

  • Positioning system:

In order to effectively simulate various natural daylight conditions, the system usually uses a mechanical positioning system. This allows the daylight arrangement to move with the axis, thereby adapting to various test setup requirements or simulating the daily cycle of natural daylight. The position can be controlled by manual buttons or integrated into the software system for automatic control. The positioning system usually varies according to the application and test equipment. We can design the most suitable system according to different customer requirements.

The system needs to be customized to achieve the customer's testing purpose. Considering the flexibility of the system design and the ability to adapt to a variety of settings, the system adopts a modular design. With different sizes of Radiation Unit, EPS-Moduls, Radiation Unit mounting systems, and the flexibility of the software, we will design the most economical solution to meet the daylight simulation application requirements.


Test Standard:

Our systems are designed to comply with a variety of test methods, such as DIN 75220, "Aging of automotive components in a sunlight-simulated environment", Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) methods, MIL-STD-810, EPA and others. As a leading manufacturer in the simulator industry, we often participate in the development of test standards as consultants. We have developed a variety of power supplies and lamps to suit a variety of application requirements.



Key Features:

A special metal halide lamp is used as the radiation source. Metal halide lamps can produce a high-density multi-line spectrum similar to a continuous spectrum. Combined with special filters, the spectral distribution of the metal halide lamp system is very close to natural daylight (CIE85). In addition to accelerated degradation test applications, filters with different characteristics can be used for other applications. Combining reflectors, filters and lamp boxes can produce high radiation efficiency and high spatial uniformity.
