Single port light source for materials testing can output UVA or UVA+UVB spectrum. 16S simulates several years of high intensity UV exposure in a few days. The light intensity at the output port can be adjusted by adjusting the spot size and adjusting the power supply. With "A" class spectral output, +/- 5% uniformity, 2% output stability, 16S is an ideal light source for materials testing research.
UV exposure in the UVB 280 - 320 nm and UVA 320 - 400 nm range can cause material aging. Using a 3 cm spot output, the 16S can simulate a year of UV exposure in seven days, while using a 1 cm spot output, the 16S can simulate a year of UV exposure in 24 hours.
The output intensity of the 16S is controlled by an adjustable button on the output port and the power supply. The intensity range is 500 - 700 J/m2 per minute, but the intensity can be adjusted to 1 J/m2 per minute. Solar Light solar simulators are widely used in testing laboratories around the world and meet the latest ASTM, COLIPA, JCIA, and FDA spectral radiation standards.
16S accurately reproduces the solar UV spectrum without visible and near-infrared light, with an intensity 20-30 times that of sunlight. It complies with the latest ASTM laboratory light source standards, including G151 and G155. The light does not contain heat components, avoiding heat damage to the sample during the test process.
